Director

Hello everyone! I am Mr. Villarreal or Mr. V, Director of the Broadcast Arts Magnet program at South Miami Middle. I want to welcome all new and returning students as well as parents to the Broadcast Art family of 2022-2023.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The Maryland Institute College of Art and have been a passionate teacher for over a decade. I love art, film, music, family and kayaking on the ocean!
The goal for this class is to provide and empower each student in an equitable way with the fundamentals of visual storytelling, that is writing, lighting, composition, editing, materials and techniques.
